Davin&Adley Nursing and Pumping Bra Review

Published by Janelle Foster on October 31, 2024October 31, 2024

Let’s talk about the nursing and pumping bras from Davin&Adley!

I’ve struggled for years, long before I became pregnant and began breastfeeding, to find bras that fit me due to my bust size. Then it became even more difficult to find a good fit after I had my first baby and began my breastfeeding journey. I tried a handful of different brands of nursing and pumping bras, but could never find one that fit me quite like I wanted. About a year into my breastfeeding journey with my first child, I found the company Davin&Adley and decided to give them a try. (I credit this to Kristen from @bemybreastfriend. I read through her blog post of the Amelia cami and was sold.)

I breastfed my first child for 3 years and I’m now pregnant with my second child, so I’ve been wearing bras from Davin&Adley for quite some time now. So, I want to put this together to help others who are looking for a quality breastfeeding bra that comes in a wide variety of sizes. I’m going to talk about every style of bra that I own from Davin&Adley, but there are more styles available than the ones I’m listing. For reference, I’m typically a size 16/18, wear an XL/XXL, bust measurement of 48in and underbust measurement of 36in.

All Davin&Adley bras and tanks come with lingerie bag to wash in.

*I do have an affiliate code with Davin&Adley, but I bought bras from this company long before I became an affiliate. It in no way influences my opinion about this brand.

Amelia Crop Cami

The Amelia crop cami is the first style of bra I purchased from Davin&Adley and it’s still probably my favorite. It’s super comfortable and fits me so well. I can wear both the regular and busty sizes, but I prefer the busty!

Size range: Small – 4X, and Small busty – 3X busty

Colors: Comes in 12 colors currently (some are seasonal)

Description: Crop cami style bra, lace detail on back, adjustable straps, pumping slits located under outer shell, no padding or underwire, cups lightly lined, pull over style.

Features: Comes in regular and busty sizing, pull down at neckline to nurse via one handed adjustable straps (no nursing clips), compatible with all flanges and wearable pumps, top layer lifts up to access overlapping pump slits, pull top later down to secure flanges while pumping, easily go from nursing to pumping without having to change bras, XL size and larger (including busty) have thicker 1in strap compared to S-L regular sizes have 1/2in strap, maternity friendly.

Busty Amelia Tank

The busty Amelia pumping and nursing compression tank is very similar to the Amelia crop cami, but just a full length version! One big difference is that the tank is only available in busty sizing, but I’ve heard that many people who are not “busty” wear this style and usually size down one. (Davin&Adley offers free size consultations so be sure to take advantage of that if you’re not sure if something will work for you.)

Size range: Small busty – 2X busty

Colors: Available in 5 colors

Description: full length compression fabric, busty sizing, not recommended for A/B cups, adjustable straps, pumping slits located under outer shell, no padding or underwire, cups lightly lined, pull over style.

Features:  Pull down at neckline to nurse via one handed adjustable 5/8in straps (no nursing clips), compatible with all flanges and wearable pumps, top layer lifts up to access overlapping pump slits, pull top later down to secure flanges while pumping, easily go from nursing to pumping without having to change bras, compression fabric on front and back (no lace), tight-fitted tank through waist and hips, easily go from nursing to pumping without having to change, maternity friendly.

3 in 1 Ribbed Amelia

Another style that is similar to the Amelia crop cami is the 3 in 1 ribbed Amelia pumping and nursing cami. This cami is made of slightly different fabric than the Amelia cami and is made for swim/active, but you also can definitely wear it to lounge in as well. I’m a big fan of this style and really like wearing it as a swim top!

Size range: Small – 3X

Colors: Available in 4 colors

Description: racer back straps, salt water and chlorine protection ribbed fabric, adjustable straps, pumping slits located under outer shell, no padding or underwire, cups lightly lined, pull over style, ribbed fabric front and back.

Features: ribbed knit fabric that is quick drying and moisture wicking, pull down at neckline to nurse via one handed ½ in adjustable straps (no nursing clips), compatible with all flanges and wearable pumps, top layer lifts up to access overlapping pump slits, pull top later down to secure flanges while pumping, wear as a swim top or sports bra, easily go from nursing to pumping without having to change bras, works for regular and busty sizes, runs a bit tighter than other styles, maternity friendly.

Amelia Bralette

The Amelia nursing and pumping bralette is similar in style to the Amelia crop cami but in a bralette! This bralette is for you if you’re not a big fan of a crop cami and are looking for a bralette style. I find this bra really comfortable and the fit is awesome despite it not being available in busty sizing. Some people have said they don’t love how wide set the straps are, but I personally love this style and don’t have an issue with it.

Size range: XS-3X

Colors: Available in 2 colors

Description: bralette length, hook and eye back closure, adjustable straps, flange slits accessible from outside (no extra layer to pull up), cups lightly lines, no padding and wire free.

Features: athletic jersey fabric on front and back, wide supportive straps, 1 1/4in wide plush elastic bottom band, no additional layer to pull up (flange slits easily accessible from the outside), flanges slits are overlapping and have extra elastic for secure hold, pull down at neckline to nurse via adjustable straps (no nursing clips), cups lightly lined, no padding and wire free, compatible with all flanges and wearable pumps, maternity friendly, sizing runs similar to Amelia crop cami.

Riley Lace Bralette

The Riley pumping and nursing lace bralette is a beautiful lace bra that was created with the owner of the company Mimiandpal. This bralette is so beautiful and really one of a kind in terms of looks. It’s a great option if you’re looking for a nursing and pumping bra that you’ll feel extra special in, while not having to sacrifice comfort and function. This bra has a deeper plunge in the front, thus showing more cleavage and less bust coverage overall. May not be for you if you’re very busty and like a lot of coverage.

Size range: Small – 3X

Colors: Available in 2 colors

Description: scallop lace detailing on front and back, bralette length, hook and eye back closure, adjustable straps, flange slits accessible from outside (no extra layer to pull up), cups lightly lines, no padding and wire free.

Features: 3in overlapping flange slits for secure hold, easily pump with flange slits on the outside, compatible with all flanges and wearable pumps, pull down at neckline to nurse with adjustable straps (no nursing clips), plush and comfortable bottom band, cups lightly lines, no padding or underwire, easily go from nursing to pumping without changing bras, recommended for B cups and up, maternity friendly.

Let’s wrap it up…

I’ve really grown to love Davin&Adley over the years. I love that it’s a small women owned business and that they offer free size consultations to make sure you get the right fit. The biggest thing for me is the range of sizes and how accommodating this brand is for those of us who are busty. As the company has grown, the owner Amanda, has added more styles and options to accommodate all sizes which I really appreciate.

If you’re trying out Davin&Adley for the first time, I recommend first getting a size consult and taking a look at the size charts. As for which style to go with for your first purchase, I would recommend the Amelia crop cami. She’s a crowd favorite for a reason. She comes in a variety of colors and sizes, you can nurse and pump in it, and it’s so comfortable you’ll have no issue wearing it all day.

You can find these nursing and pumping bras at davinandadley.com and on their Instagram @davinandadley. Hope this helps you decide which style is best for you!
